Women's Leather Jackets - Classic and Chic

Leather jackets are no longer seen as an item worn solely by bikers, punks, and other social groups. In previous years the general thought appeared to be that leather jackets just cannot look professional, smart or trendy - depending on your own personal tastes. Yet this is often an unforgiving, and unfair, way to look at leather in general, especially in regards to jackets.

Most of us have a pair of leather boots, be them ankle, knee or thigh high. Yet this does not seem out of place, we accept they are a great style of footwear. In fact for some of us they are our favourite kind of footwear!

Leather jackets can be a source of timeless style and elegance with the perfect cut and shape to flatter. Teamed with a classic woolen scarf and hat - the look appears chic and casual.

So instead, take a look at all of the different styles and fashions of leather jacket now available. There are literally thousands of verities available, each with different subtleties that make them unique.

Because of there are so many different types of leather jackets available to you, it only makes sense that you'll love at least some of them. Just because you want to steer clear of punky biker looks, does not mean that leather jackets are a total 'no-go' to you.

Instead focus on what occasion the jacket is for - what type of outfit it is going to fit with. This in itself does not even have to be fixed, you may after all want a leather jacket for any look, that you can wear with anything.

If this were the case, then your best bet would be to stick with something more simplistic and less flashy in design. A sleek looking military style leather jacket in black with a neat cut to it will fit almost any look, yet a coloured jacket - not just reds and other vibrant colours, even in browns like mocha - can be harder to mix so easily.

Yet maybe mocha tones are what suit you best. They may bring out the colour of your eyes, or suit your complexion. If this is the case, then maybe you should try to incorporate the jacket in to your current looks, by finding one that is compatible with them.

This may take a bit of trial and error on your part - no one said looking fashionable was easy! The most important thing you can keep in mind though is that sometimes you just have to have the confidence to pull a look off.

If you feel like no matter what you wear women's leather jackets with, you are still going to look scruffy and not like the 'real you', then you will look like that. You need to project the confidence you have inside you outward, almost like silently saying "This is my style, this is my fashion - deal with it!".
